Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken oath of office and sworn in as the sixteenth President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The procession of oath as handled by the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola at the inauguration ceremony held at Eagle Square, Abuja.

On another note, Kashim Shettima was also sworn in as the new Vice President of Nigeria.

Tinubu asks Senate to Approve Joash Amupitan as INEC chairman

Tinubu took over from immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari who ruled between 2015 to 2023.

Tinubu became the president after beating Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Parties and others in the February 25 presidential election.
