The Action Alliance candidate for House of Assembly, Epe Constituency, Maryam Tolulope Openiyi congratulated Sylvester Ogunkelu (Sketel) of the All Progressives Congress for his victory at the just concluded election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had slated 18th of March, 2023 for the Gubernatorial and House Assembly Election.
Maryam Openiyi had participated in the electioneering process as candidate contesting for House of Assembly seat, Epe Constituency under the party of Action Alliance.
Openiyi, while conceding defeat expressed high sense of political fulfillment to have ended the race in peace prosperously.
She added that the race is continuous and there are so much opportunities to serve humanity within the political space which I was able to explore so much to the Glory of Allah.
Openiyi however ahead INEC’s declaration, congratulates the victorious candidate, Sylvester Ogunkelu of the All Progressives Congress who polled highest number of valid votes.
Her official statement partly reads:
Allhamdullilah for the success of the election as I started the race and ended the race in peace prosperously.
I appreciate those that supported and encouraged me while spurring us to keep going.
I appreciate those that looked down on me because they also helped me to keep striving to become a better version of myself.
I may not be the winner but I am not a loser because my name was not soiled all through the process.
The race is continuous and there are so much opportunities to serve humanity within the political space which I was able to explore so much to the Glory of Allah.
The experience was worthwhile and hopefully we should bounce back stronger with better strategies to conquer.
Blissfully, I say thanks to my team, my supporters and understanding family.
