Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 election, on Saturday expressed optimism of victory at the polls.
Our source gathered that Atiku stated this while speaking with newsmen after casting his vote at Ajiya 02, in Gwadabawa Ward, Yola North Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State.
Atiku voted alongside his wife, Titi.
On if he would accept the result if he fails to emerge the winner, the former vice-president said he is a ‘Democrat’ and would show grace.
“I am impressed with the turnout and I hope presiding officers will be able to cope with the turnout.
“I look forward to a successful transition,” Atiku said.
This online newspaper had reported that it is the fifth time Atiku will be contesting for the presidency, and at 76, some political analysts consider 2023 as his last chance
