Sheu Sani Condems CBN Policy Limiting Cash Withdrawals

 Senator Sheu Sani condemned the CBN governor for shunning the minister of finance Ahmed Zainab on her notion against the redesignation of the naira note, an action recently taken by the governor after obtaining approval from the president of the country.

A former Nigerian senator and human right activist senator Sheu Sani on ‘THIS MORNING’ interview on TVC news opines that the president of Nigeria has no knowledge of the banking system.

“if you have an enlightened president that has verse knowledge about the economy, the CBN governor will not always have his way”

The governor should consider the opinion of the national assembly bearing in mind the economic effect on the country at large with the consideration of the continuous increase in the percentage of poverty in the country.” Policy should alleviate policy and not make matters worse.

”The CBN governor should know that he’s not the CBN governor of the united state nor the governor of Poland but the governor of Nigeria and a decision of such can worsen the situation of the country economically”
