iDeemlawfulHamidat Kelani reports – There was a jail break at Ijebu Ode correctional center.
Three inmates from the Ijebu ode correctional center, Ijebu ode local government Area of Ogun State escaped facility after scaling the heavily padded fence.
It was confirmed by Victor Oyeloke Spokesperson of the State Command of the Correctional Service, He confirmed the jail break, saying it happened about 3am Saturday morning.
The inmates who successfully escaped from the correctional center are;
Hammed Adeboyejo a man convicted of armed robbery and murder,
Fatai Taiwo Akande also convicted for murder and,
Aliu Oguntona convicted for sexual offences escaped on Saturday 23rd of December,2023.
Oyeleke said, “A search party to bring the three of them back has been raised”.
“We have their biometrics and we have contacts of their families. We are working together with other sister agencies and in good time they will be brought back.”
