The Public Relations Officer for the Supreme court, Festus Akande has assured Nigerians that no effect will surface from the fire incident of Monday morning on the presidential election petition.

It was gathered earlier this Monday morning that a wing in the Supreme Court Complex at the Three-Arm-Zone, Abuja, was engulfed by fire.

Speaking during an interview on a National TV after the uncalled for event, Akande made it cleared that the fire outbreak won’t affect anything in the court, urging Nigerians to remain calm about the connection that could have arouse to the Presidential Election Petition.

“The only thing that was affected were the books and computer equipment in the chamber which are even replaceable.”

“Also, it has nothing to do with it because it was from an electrical fault, which could happen anywhere, and there are things that happen daily.”
The P.R.O emphasized.
