The Attorney general of the Students Union, University of Ilorin, Akintola Abduljalal Abiola has launched a weekly publication of Law Insight Series for the benefit of Unilorites.

The information is contained in a statement made available to iDeemlawful News on Tuesday morning titled “LAW INSIGHT SERIES: THE RAISON D’ETRE”

The initiative which is coming from the office of the Attorney General of the Students Union is borne out of desire to ensure students in the university community know the extent of their rights and responsibilities as defined by the laws in force.

He further stated that “The development oriented administration has desired to ensure all students of the University are sound in probitas (moral standards) and doctrina (academic excellence)

The statement which read in part: LAW INSIGHT SERIES: THE RAISON D’ETRE

It is a settled position of law that ratio est legis anima, mutata legis ratione, mutatur et lex (reason is the soul of law, and as such, a law will remain law when the reason is existent). It is on this note that we present to you the weekly publication of the LAW INSIGHT SERIES

It is our delight that the LAW INSIGHT SERIES, an innovative initiative of the Attorney-General of the Students’ Union, is borne out of the strong desire to ensure that every member of the Union and the university community at large knows the extents of their rights and responsibilities as defined by the laws and regulations in force.

The series shall be published weekly and shall be adopting a very simple language for the purpose of perfect comprehension of all and sundry.

It is our utmost desire in the development-oriented administration to ensure all students of the university are sound in probitas (moral standards) and doctrina (academic excellence)
