iDeemlawfulThe kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced 2nd of May, 2022 to be the 1st of Shawwal, implying that the much anticipated Eid ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday.
This made known via one of the kingdom’s verified twitter page @haramainInfo said the announcement is as a result of not sighting the Crescent for the new moon on Saturday.
The tweet read: “crescent has NOT been sighted in Saudi Arabia. #EidAlFitr will be celebrated on Monday 2nd May 2022. In shā Allāh
“May Allāh ﷻ allow us to utilise the remaining moments of this blessed month to engage in that which pleases Him and may He accept our siyām, qiyām & a’māl. Āmīn.”
