The NAMLAS annual programme dubbed “Namlas Week ’22” commenced with NAMLAS congress and medical checkup which was held on Friday, 11th February, 2022.

NAMLAS WEEK DAY 1

The congress/medical checkup was anchored by the Organizing Secretary Tunji-Lawal Lawal. The congress preceded a medical checkup.

Different questions/answers, suggestions and recommendations, as affecting the corporate existence of Unilorin NAMLAS were tabled, discussed and settled.

Opinions were also exhaustibly aired and more, others were adjourned so as to allow the medical practitioners in attendance do their work.

During the medical checkup, the medical practitioner advised that every person should be conscious of his mental health which may be jeopardized by unhealthy relationships, poor grades in school, bad company, family issues, inter alia.

The medical practitioner attributes hallucinational hearing of one’s name to mental dementias and schizophrenia. He equally notes that the best way to defeat any mental stress is to go back to Allâh (SubhanaLla wata’allah) as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was also trialed when revelation ceased to come to him and that is the circumstantial reason behind the revelation of Suratul Ad-dhuaa.

After the admonition, blood pressure (BP) of different NAMLAS members were checked and different diagnoses were made by the medical practitioners.

NAMLAS WEEK DAY 2

Saturday, 12th February, 2022 was the day specially and specifically allotted to the NAMLAS sisters in which different issues as affecting ladies outside and within matrimonial homes are discussed.
